Pounding the Pavement with Postcards and Posters: A Church-Wide Outreach Event. Let’s invite our downtown community to Easter! Join us after church on Palm Sunday, April 9, as we reach out to our downtown neighbors and invite them to our Easter events. We’ll gather after the service for a quick pizza lunch, split into groups, and head out. Some groups will go door to door with postcards at the Cleaborn Pointe apartments while other groups will head to specific areas downtown to hang posters in local businesses. All ages are encouraged to participate. If you’re interested in leading one of our groups, contact Randi Meyer for more info.
Easter Weekend: Join us for Risen: A Call for Repentance, A Celebration of Redemption, April 13- 16. We will have a traditional Maundy Thursday service at 6PM April 13 at Clayborn Temple, a combined Good Friday Service with Fellowship Memphis at 6PM at Clayborn Temple, a Community-wide service on the lawn of the Civil Rights Museum April 16 at 8AM, followed by a Prayer Walk from the lawn of the Civil Rights Museum to Clayborn Temple. DC at Levitt Shell Sunday, MARCH 26! Join us on this first Sunday of Spring, at the Levett Shell as we worship together and exalt our God. Bring the whole family and invite your friends and neighbors. We hope you will join us after the service to share a meal together. Downtown Church will provide baked and fried chicken. All you need to do is bring a side dish or a dessert to share. Spread the word--don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the coming of Spring and the greatness of our God! 2. Serve. Our service teams are always in need of dependable poeple but our service teams are also one of the most effective ways to get to know others in the community of shared interests and tasks. Some of our teams include: Downtown Kids, Worship Team (), and Set Up and Hospitality (Erin).
